Postman collection
Try the SOAMTAR API without writing code: the collection contains every request you need in Sierra Leone (account, Orange Money payments, payouts, refunds, webhooks).
Import the collection
- Download
soamtar-api.postman_collection.json. - In Postman: Import → File, then pick the file.
- Open the collection → Variables tab and fill in:
| Variable | Value |
|---|---|
base_url | https://app.so-amtar.com/v1 (already set) |
api_key | your secret key — start with sk_test_… |
payer_phone | the payer's Orange Money number, e.g. +23276123456 |
webhook_url | the public HTTPS URL that will receive your webhooks |
sign_requests | true to HMAC-sign requests (optional) |
transaction_id, reference, payout_id and refund_id are filled in automatically from one request to the next. A fresh Idempotency-Key is generated on every send.
Folders
The folder names in the collection are in French:
- Compte (account) — API health (checks your key) and balance.
- Paiements (encaissements) (payments) — create an Orange Money payment, retrieve it, list payments.
- Paiements sortants (payouts) — send money to an Orange Money number.
- Remboursements (refunds) — refund a payment (full or partial), retrieve a refund, list refunds.
- Webhooks — register an endpoint and send a test webhook (
webhook.testevent).
With an sk_test_ key payments are simulated: nobody is charged.
Insomnia, Bruno and code generators
Download the openapi.yaml specification, then:
- Insomnia: Create → Import → the file.
- Bruno:
bru import openapi --source ./openapi.yaml --output ./soamtar-collection - Postman (from OpenAPI): Import → File →
openapi.yaml.
